Downtown music in full swing

Noontime Brown Bag Concerts have started and continue every Wednesday through August 31.  The June 8 featured artist is local Greg Fox, owner of RowHouse Restaurant.  Greg is tossing down his chef knife and picking up his guitar to entertain the noontime crowd from 11am to 1pm in the Westar Pocket Park at 818 S Kansas.  Chairs and benches are available for people to sit and enjoy the music, plus there’s plenty of standing room too.  More info is available on fb:  Noontime Brown Bag Concerts

First Friday Outdoor Concerts have been changed to Second Saturday Summer Concert Series this year to help spread out the entertainment days in the City.  Kickoff of the Second Saturday Summer Concert is this weekend, Saturday, June 11 in the West 100 Block of 8th Street starting at 6:30pm.  Three bands playing for six hours provide a full evening of entertainment.  June11 artists are:  Opening the evening – Oceanside kangaroo ali bandHotels (Topeka), followed by Parallel Path (Manhattan), and headliner Kangaroo Ali (Topeka).  Other concert dates are: July 29(yes, it’s a Friday), August 13 and September 10.  We encourage people to bring their lawn chairs and enjoy the music and downtown view.  More info is available on fb:  Second Saturday Summer Concert Series
