Downtown Topeka Summer Concert Series STARTS Friday

FFC TimelineDowntown Topeka, Inc. will kick-off the free community outdoor concerts this Friday, May 1, starting with the 2015 First Friday Summer Concert Series (FFSCS) featuring Jarrod Guth playing guitar on the sidewalk at 5:30pm, followed by headliner Monk’s Wine around 8pm.  The FFSCS is a free outdoor concert featuring local and regional talent hosted in the 100 block of SW 8th in the downtown area.  Some seating and tables are provided, but the attendees are encouraged to bring their own comfy lawn chair with cup holder.  Along with LIVE music, the event provides outdoor beer gardens and dancing.  Upcoming 2015 dates for FFSCS:  May 1, June 5, July 3, August 7 First Friday Summer Concert Series Sponsors:  Strathman Sales, BUDWEISER, COX Communications, The Celtic Fox, The Office Bar & Lounge and our downtown annual sponsors

Brown Bag 2015 Timeline

For Wednesday lunchtime enjoyment, the Noontime Brown Bag Concert Series will kick-off May 13 (ending August 26) from 11am to 1pm every Wednesday on the west side lawn of Topeka Performing Arts Center at 8th & Quincy.  Local musicians from Topeka, Lawrence and Kansas City will entertain attendees with their own authored music.  Some seating is provided.  Attendees are encouraged to pick up lunch at a local downtown restaurant and come relax to the tunes while they eat.  May 13 features returning musicians CS Luxem from Lawrence.
