TPAC Announces 2015 Executive Committee and Board Members

  • Sue Buckley, ISG Technology, President
  • Jim Wempe, Capitol Federal Savings, Vice-President
  • Susan Lacey, Security Benefit, Treasurer
  • Nancy Goodall, CoreFirst Bank & Trust, Secretary
  • Robert Soria, Kansas Department of Labor, Division of Workers Compensation, At-Large
  • Brian Haug, WIBW-TV
  • John Bardsley, Hill’s Pet Nutrition, Past President

In announcing the board Buckley said, “I am very excited by the depth of experience our Executive Committee represents and the breadth of representation from our community that our new members are bringing to the 2015 Board of Trustees. We have expanded our Board of Trustees membership to increase our footprint as we initiate private fundraising activities to enhance our program offerings. It was important to me that the Board be a reflection of our community to insure that the Topeka Performing Arts Center’s mission continues to be shaped by and for the entire community.”

  • Brian Haug - WIBW TV
  • Brett Lackey - The Topeka Capital-Journal
  • Michele Parker - Topeka Habitat for Humanity
  • Shelbie Smith - Downtown Topeka Ramada
  • Robert Soria - Kansas Department of Labor, Division of Workers Compensation
  • Widge Yager - Community Volunteer

Returning Board Members are:

  • John Bardsley - Hills Pet Nutrition
  • Sue Buckley - ISG Technology
  • Miranda K. Carmona - Goodell, Stratton, Edmonds & Palmer, LLP
  • Andy Devin - Westar Energy, Nancy Goodall - CoreFirst Bank & Trust
  • Susan Lacey – Security Benefit
  • Jim Wempe - Capitol Federal Savings

The Topeka Performing Arts Center’s Executive Director Karen Lane Christilles said of the announcement, “One of the things that most drew me to accept this position was the strong history of support in the community for the Center, its arts education mission for community youth and its programming mission for the region. Nowhere is that support more evident than in the dedication of time and talent the Center receives from the Board of Trustees. I am so excited to see what we will do together.”
