By Tara Dimick I recently had the privilege of joining Lissa Staley and Thad Hartman of the Topeka & Shawnee County Public Library on their HUSH podcast in an episode of You Made Me Read It! They asked what I would make them read and I chose a book that had been sitting on my shelves collecting dust because frankly the title pissed me off and I figured I would use the opportunity to make myself read it as well. The book... "Lean In: Women, Work and the Will to Lead" by Sheryl Sandberg.
The book had received great reviews and I watch women coming together to meet the author and thank her. However, I had only read the title, "Lean In," and all I could think was, "Are you kidding me!! If I "lean in" any further I am going to fall flat on my face."
So the podcast gave me the motivation to finally open up the book and find out what Sandberg meant by "Lean In."
