Envista Cares Challenge Highlights Midland Care
All month, Envista will provide Midland Care with a media package that includes emails, social media, radio and billboards. In addition,Envista is challenging the community to give to Midland Care. For every dollar given to the organization during the month of July, Envista will match up to $2,500. Giving can be done online at www.envistacares.com.
“Midland Care has been providing hope, comfort and support for over 40 years while meeting individual needs through innovative healthcare solutions. We have grown from being the first hospice in Shawnee County and first in-patient hospice facility in the state to now offering nine programs in 21 Northeast Kansas counties focused on helping seniors remain in their homes, independent and safe for as long as possible,” said Karren Weichert, President/CEO of Midland Care Connection, Inc. “Envista is helping us touch more lives and uphold our promise of accepting all hospice referrals regardless of ability to pay for end of life care.”
“It is our goal to highlight organizations doing great work in our community, while encouraging our community to give,” said Tara Dimick, Senior Vice President of Business Development for Envista. “Our goal at Envista is to: Lead. Inspire. Impact. Midland Care is an incredible example of an organization that leads, inspires and makes an everlasting impact on our community. We are honored to support them.”
“The donation match made available by Envista will allow us to provide enhancements to The Hospice House, expand parking around the building and create The Passageway which will allow a dignified last moment with loves ones in a caring environment,” said Zach Ahrens Vice President of Strategic Initiatives at Midland Care. “Nearly 20 years ago, an open house was held to present The House to the community. Until this facility was available, those nearing the end of life without adequate caregiving in the home were admitted to a hospital or a nursing home. Today, we have served over 6,100 individuals and their families. We hope you will join our efforts to enhance this special place by making your gift as part of the EnvistaCaresChallenge.”
