LGT 2021 | Dornella Leal
What leader do you admire the most?
Eleanor Roosevelt. In reading her biography, she had events that happened in her childhood that were impactful. Her parents and a brother died when she was young, and she became an orphan. Eleanor Roosevelt used her experiences and was empathetic and chose to make a difference in people’s lives. She was an advocate and a voice for others. It was said of her that she was a humanitarian, loved people, and she wanted to make this world a better place.
What’s one thing you wish you were good at?
Singing. I love to hear songs—it brings happiness and expresses emotions and praise. However, when I sing it doesn’t bring happiness to others.
If they made a movie of your life, who would play you?
Paget Brewster. Her character cares for others and she will do anything for her friends, even if she gets hurt in the process.
What brings you joy?
Seeing people laughing and enjoying life after a struggle in life has occurred. To come out of life’s events saying, “I did it.” You are happy for them and celebrate with them.
What do you wish you had known earlier?
Things don’t always work out the way you plan, but how boring would that be if they did. Life is the adventure in the non-planning events that happen.
