Stormont Vail Health Welcomes Joy Murphy, M.D.

Stormont Vail Health proudly welcomes Dr. Joy Murphy, a board-certified family medicine practitioner specializing in women’s health and family medicine, to the Stormont Vail Express Care team in Topeka. Dr. Murphy provides care as a traveling physician at various Cotton O’Neil Express Care Clinics throughout the community.

As an express care physician, Dr. Murphy serves patients with non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries with prompt treatments and compassionate expertise. Her professional skills include outpatient office procedures, gynecology, psychosocial medicine, and transgender care.

Dr. Murphy is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. She obtained her medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. She completed her family medicine residency and fellowship at Highland Hospital of Rochester, New York.

Dr. Murphy comes to Stormont Vail from Watkins Health Services at the University of Kansas in Lawrence, where she worked in women’s healthcare and extensively practiced outpatient gynecology. During this time, she also assisted with implementing hormonal treatments and gender care guidelines at the University of Kansas.
