Local Architect Recognized as Industry Leader
Local architect David Heit, AIA, Founding Principal of Civium Architecture & Planning, is recognized as a leader making a difference in the world of traditional design and historic preservation in the just-published October 2024 issue of Traditional Building magazine.
Heit is featured in the magazine’s “25 Leaders – A Who’s Who in Traditional Building.” The article highlights 25 individuals who have dedicated their careers to the classical and traditional styles in outstanding ways that are serving as models around the country. In introducing this year’s list of 25 leaders, the magazine states, “Traditional buildings speak of the past and hold promise for a bright future. And it’s the people behind these buildings…they also deserve some of the celebratory spotlight.” This is the third year Traditional Building has published its list.

Asked what impact his work has made in the field, Heit responded, “I rarely consider how my work has impacted the field of architecture. I prefer to focus on the effect my work has upon my clients and the users of the buildings I design.” He added, “Looking at the other professionals highlighted in this and past years’ lists, I am honored to be included and congratulate my fellow honorees.”
