Public Invited to Second Gage Park Master Plan Update Open House
Shawnee County Parks & Recreation, in collaboration with the Gage Park Improvement Authority and Bartlett & West, invites the public to attend a second open house regarding the Gage Park Master Plan Update. The event will take place on October 22, 2024, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Big Gage Shelter House within Gage Park.
Building on the work presented in the first open house, this session will provide attendees with an in-depth look at the 2023 Gage Park Master Plan Update project. Visitors will have the opportunity to review the project’s goals, timeline, and objectives, while also exploring the analysis of the park's current conditions and future possibilities.
The open house will feature interactive stations where community members can offer their feedback and voice their priorities for the park's development and preservation. Attendees are encouraged to share their thoughts and help shape the future of Gage Park. We also encourage one-on-one questions with our Director Tim Laurent during that time.
The Gage Park Master Plan Update is a joint effort led by Shawnee County Parks & Recreation, the Gage Park Improvement Authority, and Bartlett & West. Community involvement is crucial to ensuring the plan reflects public interests, and all are encouraged to attend.
